The workshop is the heart and soul of Ghost Gum Bikes.
While we don’t mind a chat over the phone, the best way to diagnose an issue is to ‘meet’ the bike in person to get a quote for your repair.
Where possible, we perform minor repair while you wait, such as a flat tire.
Workshop labor rates start at $15 for minor repairs*, up to custom bike builds. Listed below are some of our most popular jobs.

Full Bike Service > $150
True / align wheels; gear tune; brake adjustment; adjust all bearings inc. hubs and headset; lubricate drivetrain and all pivots; and a quick overall clean.
*New parts and labour to fit not included in service charge.
*Service charge reduced for non-geared bikes.
Custom Wheel Build > Starting at $100
We build custom wheels by hand, using the best components for your budget and requirements, tensioned to the finest of tolerances.
We are the only shop in Newcastle / The Hunter with a spoke cutting and threading machine ensuring spokes are always the correct length
*Cost of rim, spokes and hub is added to the labour charge.
Custom Bike Build > start @ $400
